Activated Alumina Media

DESCRIPTION:

CCG’s activated alumina is a mixture of amorphous and gamma Aluminum oxide prepared by low temperature dehydroxylation of Aluminum Hydroxide Al(OH)3. The filtration process is termed surface adsorption but relies on the exchange of a surface hydroxide for the contaminant. CCG’s activated alumina is used for removal of fluorides, arsenic, humic acids.

APPLICATIONS:

For treatment of fluorides, arsenic, humic acid. The media can also be used as a stand-alone treatment process or upstream of other filtration processes and media such as reverse osmosis, activated carbon and resins. Arsenic and fluorides removal are extremely pH dependent applications, usually 5.5-6.
