Granular Dacor- Activated Carbon Panel

The disposable DACOR® panel filter uses activated carbon in conventional 5/8"-, 1"-, and 2"-deep frames for improved indoor air quality in occupied spaces. The unique honeycomb design filled with granular activated carbon provides exceptional performance and long life in recirculating air applications. The granular DACOR® panel filter is available in a variety of standard and custom sizes. These filters reduce energy costs, have low airflow resistance, are lightweight and durable, and can be easily installed with any media. The granular DACOR® panel is also available with a 1/4'' nonwoven, one-sided polyester filter for dust control.

DACOR® Panels Provide a Quick, Inexpensive Solution to Odor Problems in:

Metal Frame Option

The granular disposable DACOR® filter is also available with a metal frame option specially designed to withstand high-moisture environments. This filter uses an electro-galvanized metal frame with a support strap across the filter for added stability often required in damp, wet, or humid conditions. When properly installed in the filter track, the support strap is located at the bottom of the filter. Frame filters are available from stock in two common sizes: 12" x 24" x 2" and 24" x 24" x 2". Other sizes are available upon request.

Activated Carbon

The granular DACOR® panel filter is fabricated of a rigid support structure charged with activated carbon (specialty activated carbons are also available). The activated carbon typically has a surface area of 1,000 square meters per gram or over one million square feet of surface area per square foot of filter. The activated carbon is loaded into the filter, which is constructed in a partial bypass configuration to promote odor removal and long life in a recirculating application. The actual life of the filter is a function of the dust and vapor contaminant condition of each application.

  • Twelve 1" activated carbon-only filters per box
  • Six 2" activated carbon-only filters per box

Standard granular DACOR® filter panels are available in the following nominal sizes:

  • 12" x 24"
  • 16" x 20"
  • 16" x 25"
  • 20" x 20"
  • 20" x 25"
  • 24" x 24"

Continental Carbon Group also offers cutto-trim impregnated fiber filters. These filters are available in 19 1/2" x 24 1/2" x 5/8" (12 filters per box).

Continental Carbon Group is constantly striving to improve its products and capabilities and to provide the best product to it customers.

Continental Carbon Group may from time to time develop product improvements or alterations (including, without limitation,

Making Air Safer and Cleaner

Wet activated carbon removes oxygen from air, causing a severe hazard to workers inside carbon vessels. Confined space/low

oxygen procedures should be put in place before any entry is made. Such procedures should comply with all applicable local,

state and federal guidelines.
